The short version: your blocklist never leaves your device. ChannelBlock has no account, logs no IP, and never sees your browsing. The only thing it can send is an anonymous, aggregate, opt-out usage count — and you can turn that off in one click.
Your blocked-channels list, your toggle settings and your chosen language are stored locally with the browser's extension storage (chrome.storage.local). They are never uploaded. Use Export / Import in the popup to move the list between your own browsers — it's a plain JSON file you control.
If "Share anonymous stats" is on (default), roughly once per browsing session the extension sends a single snapshot to channelblock.zlef.fr/api/collect containing:
That's the complete payload. It does not include any account or identifier, your IP is not stored, and it never contains channel names, URLs, watch history or anything about what you browse. The numbers are aggregated per day and published openly at /api/stats.
Open the popup and switch off "Share anonymous stats". Nothing is sent from then on, and any pending counters are dropped.
